Northfield Brook has always had a very low vote for the Lib Dems and Conservatives . It was a stronghold of the IWCA Party who won it as recently as 2008 |

I remember Robert Boston from when I was involved in Congleton CLP starting in 1989. He was a councillor for Buglawton ward 1990-2003 on Congleton Borough Council.

There 23 by-elections during the remainder of October. So far there are 7 already called for November including one for 2 seats in Scotland. In addition there are another 9 known vacancies, 5 in England, 2 in Scotland and 2 in Wales where there is no date.
Currently 26 of the total 115 seats already contested and current vacancies since the general election are as a result of the sitting councillor resigning as they are now MPs.

Yes, he resigns for mental health reasons, claiming than his mental health issues caused him to have a "reckless and self-destructive" behaviour. I suppose it includes him being condemned by a court this summer to pay his previous landlord £4,470 for leaving his former flat in a squalid condition. |
