This does make me wonder, which constituencies do you think fictional MPs (whose constituencies are not mentioned in the book/programme they are in) would be more likely to represent?
For instance, if we assume that 'Nicola Murray' does not win West Chalfont, it is likely that she becomes one of 'Blair's Babes' in 1997. Does she find a safe seat (Pontefract and Castleford perhaps?), or does she win a seat Labour lost in '83 and increase her majority each time (Mitcham and Morden?). Personally, I would say the latter. I can't imagine her being representing a safe Northern seat (but that goes for much of the real front bench IMO), but I do imagine her working a Southern semi-marginal well while unremarkably climbing the greasy pole before (somehow) becoming leader.
P.S. I know Mitcham and Morden was not lost in 1983, but somehow this most Labour-friendly part of Labour-unfriendly South West London would suit Murray in my mind.

Nicola Murray was a dedicated Blair Babe. She would have lost her seat in 2010, and quite rightly
