Lib Dems held deposit. Have Labour really increased their share of the vote? Yes, by 0.6%. I wonder if Labour will be making much of increasing their share of the vote now?

Before the Jim Dobbin tribute the Labour acceptance speech was getting a bit Mandelsonian. Will she say that "I'm a fighter and a winner" yet?

What would we all consider good and bad results for each party? For me as long as Labour win they will take this and move on. If they lose, I can see Miliband being put under real pressure and would be a disaster. I´ll be looking at the Labour share of the vote - if we can get high 40´s or low 50´s as suggested by these polls, I´ll be happy as that would be an increase of 8-10 percentage points. This close to a general election, that would be encouraging. I´m not particularly bothered about the UKIP vote (unless it overtakes ours!) as we can´t control people shifting between different opposition parties, and the great majority of their vote seems to be coming from Tory and also LibDem voters. A terrible result for Labour trident?
