It is back to some descendants of immigrants trying to be more British than the British, UKIP Scotland is full of them, I call it the Alf Garnett syndrome. May I suggest we send Mr Danczuck back first.

He doesn't really say anything nice about anybody. I don't think he's unhappy in the Labour Party, he's just one of those people who doesn't see the political necessity of having allies. Government ministers who've taken that attitude have not tended to survive beyond their first scandal.

Actually, I think he sees the political necessity of having allies in his constituency, hence the rather eccentric way he goes about things. He doesn't exactly attack Ed Miliband and, for him, seems qute measured in his TotalPolitics interview. It is being a bit overspun I would suggest.
Not my cup of tea as an MP at all, but as I no longer live in in that constituency, I don't have to over-worry about it. Depressingly, he is a pretty perfect fit for the town.

Assuming Mr Danczuk had at least one Grandparent from Poland are we making these call based on the Y chromosome (or the father's Y chromosome for women. Mitochondrial DNA is more accurate.

In fact if England should be for the English (say 4 England born Grandparents and an English name) all parties are going to need new leaders id Scotland votes yes. That I suppose would put Natalie Bennett in Charge!

I have 4 grandparents from England and 8 great grandparents too. Not all my children can say the same though.
On Mr Danczuk, I don't know an awful lot about him, but I saw him a few months ago on C4 news tearing strips off Owen Jones and was suitably impressed

I have to go to at least great-great-grandparents before my gene pool leaves Worcestershire or Gloucestershire.
My wife, on the other hand, was mostly Scottish, one-quarter Irish and claimed to be one-sixteenth Romany (and a great-uncle of hers joined the circus).

He was brought up in Cale Green! |

All mine officially Scottish. 2 being Orcadian which is why I qualify. Start to lose out at the next generation where there was 1 Irish and 1 half French and I think born there.

I think my Englishness goes back quite a way further than that, but I've only seen a family tree on my maternal grandmother's side. |
