Eventually I worked out it doesn't like Firefox.
Surprised to hear that, Andrew. I use Firefox for development and testing, and the two maps I posted upthread were also created with Firefox. If you let me know the version and operating system you are using, and at what point the problem occurs, I will look into it.

here we are and those areas in brum left uncoloured are because evenly split, I have gone for in my view those areas with majority support for one or the other
