The Labour candidate in Braintree East, Eric Lynch, was formerly councillor for this ward who lost his seat last May - effectively to one of his running mates.
The No Description candidate, Paul Lemon, previously stood in the ward as a Lib Dem candidate, so that has the look of a nomination cock-up

George Fazackerlay, the Lib Dem candidate in Portchester East, previously (2010) contested the ward as a Conservative

Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff, the Conservative candidate in Hertford, previously (2007) contested the ward as a Lib Dem

If my records are correct that result gives majority control to the Tories.

yep jut a continuation of what we have had seen before and some good inroads into the the type of southern seats we have to well in.

As the Labour vote was down numerically in all 3 Braintree wards on last May it was hardly a marvellous performance . Fortunately for Labour , the Conservatives were even more inept at getting out their voters .
