Allister will take some DUP votes certainly and could potentially get into 2nd like when he stood in 2010 but Paisley will still win comfortably

Paisley will benefit from the Farage endorsement. Nope, it will make no difference; as Ian Paisley Jr was always holding this, although with the lowest vote share for the DUP. Jim Allister got 16.8% in 2010, he may well surpass that. Noones coming through the middle.

"Potentially seismic upset could be brewing in North Antrim as it is understood Jim Allister is polling neck-in-neck with sitting MP Ian Paisley.".

Jim Allister will certainly be an interesting addition to the Commons Absolutely fierce cross examiner, despite his rather hard-line views. Upgrade on the bumbling fool which was Paisley jnr.

Yes, look beyond the angry man image and he's clearly an intelligent guy. Perhaps Westminster will suit him better than the Assembly
The TUV ended up as spoiler effects everywhere else but he must have ran a brilliant personal campaign here

On his departure to Westminster what happens to his Assembly seat? Another TUV member will be co-opted in and that can be anyone, no by-elections or a party list that it needs to be chosen from There will also need to be co-opted replacements for Sorcha Eastwood (Alliance) in Lagan Valley and Alex Easton (independent unionist) in North Down due to them becoming MPs
