Arrived in the constituency today for my holiday. Based on sign frequency it’s a 2 way contest between Conservatives and Lib Dems. Which part of the constituency? Bute, Cowal and Mid Argyll so far. Seemed very odd that there was no sign of any SNP presence in Bute or Dunoon given they came first in both places in the 2022 locals. I expect Oban is probably the strongest territory for SNP so could be different there. But Lib Dem sign board presence surprised me so far in areas that aren’t strong for them. |

Council is SNP, LibDem, Independent,Green coalition 12 SNP, 10 Tory. Demographics changed when Faslane MOD got rid of civilian housing and the moved service married quarters to Portsmouth

Helensburgh is horrible. A company town where every hotel pub and restaurant has a clientele that is on expenses and will never return so there is no need or benefit to making an effort

Not sure about Aberdeenshire as I do not know the area, but both Helensburgh area and North Berwick are good calls, so close it would be down to do you want to be near Glasgow or Edinburgh. |
