Without giving too much away, from the count at Yeovil on Thursday night there was a clear difference between the Yeovil count and the Glastonbury and Somerton count. And it certainly wasn’t just from one political party,

In Glastonbury and Somerton the LD winner spoke graciously about her opponents, came across as well rounded, humble and adult, and her opponent took defeat well. She was much better than she was in her speech when she won the BE last year.

In Yeovil none of that was the case…….

That reminds me of the ludicrously self-important "I am ready to serve" anecdote (mentioned in this forum occasionally) of the surgeon Hugh Thomas being called to operate on the Pope after he was shot.
