Syms was quite classy in defeat, clapping the Labour total, & smiling while he shook Neil Duncan-Jordan's hand. So four constituencies which have some of the superwealthiest enclaves in Britain (the others are Chelsea & Fulham, and Cities of London & Westminster, and Kensington & Bayswater) now have Labour MPs. Coombe in my constituency is one of the exceptions. Tamworth containing Little Aston is also of note. Which at local level voted Con 84% Lab 16% even in 1995. |
