How am I going to explain to my late Grandparents that they don't live in the Streatham seat any more? Presumably they had previously lived in the Clapham constituency and Lambeth Central before they were in Streatham, as none of the core Streatham is in this seat (alternatively they lived in Norwood or Brixton) so it should not come as too much of a shock. You should try having to explain to my late grandparents (as I must) how, having seen Wembley North translated into Brent North and being represented by that lovely Sir Rhodes Boyson, they were subsequently (after their deaths) moved into Brent South, then Brent Central and now Brent East and have been represented by Paul Boateng, Dawn Butler and Sarah fucking Teather

My uncle still lives there, so it's him I shall have to explain it to really. The house is closer to both Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill than to Brixton. I suspect it's been in Streatham since 1983, and probably since 1974, but possibly not before then.

Can't be sure because the boundaries of Brixton Hill (Town Hall ward as was) has shifted about a bit, but suspect they were in Lambeth Central 1974-83 and Brixton prior to that

Based on local election leaflets I remember seeing. I do recall my grandad grumbling about having to vote for a black candidate. Probably 1986 or 1990.
