I shall also post this in the Development thread. It seems to me that very good progress is being made in almost all regions of the Vote UK Almanac New Boundaries project. Many, many thanks to everyone who has helped so far, putting in so much work to such an informative, entertaining and analytical effect. In all but one region I think many of the remaining constituencies have been allocated or claimed or promised; of course, they will still have to be completed! However this is not the case with London. As far as I am aware and recall, the only seat with a claimant is Chipping Barnet ( Pete Whitehead, perhaps with some subsequent comment by Peter Wilkinson). London now has clearly the highest number of profiles outstanding, currently 18. As will be seen from the list, the main boroughs still entirely or largely not tackled are Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Lewisham, and Southwark. I did Croydon North in the pre-boundary change version and I suppose have some responsibility for its successor seats, though I am always wary of literally infringing the territory of johnloony! Other contributors to the pre-boundary change Vote UK Almanac (London) for these seats include greenhert, sirbenjamin, where2travel, jacoblamsden, AdminSTB (not sure which one). As we have well passed the time I offered the chance to update to original posters, I would very much appreciate any bids for any of the remaining 18 constituencies. Close personal connections are very much not needed; after all, without other volunteers I shall have to end up doing these myself, and when asked which part of Britain I feel I know least well, I have always admitted that it is in the multifarious details of the innumerable neighbourhoods of our capital city! Therefore all offers extremely welcome ...

If nobody else offers I could possibly do the Southwark seats. I am not that familiar with outer SE London.

I wrote profiles for Croydon North and Croydon Central in the old boundaries section, but they were not appreciated so I deleted them. Accordingly I see no point in bothering to do them for the new boundaries either.

In the absence of any others I could probably do most of the outstanding London seats without having a lot of (at least recent) on the ground knowledge of SE London in particular.

Somebody (I don’t remember or care who) untruthfully said that they were inadequate and not detailed enough, so I saw (and still see) no point in bothering to do them.

We could split them up maybe? I probably know Camberwell & Peckham the least, in fact I definitely do. (I remain friendly with the Conservative candidate who stood against Harriet Harman in 1992, but I haven't seen him since 2022.)

Many thanks for the positive offers! May I suggest that batman gets cracking on the Southwark seats and Pete Whitehead takes Chipping Barnet and the other S London constituencies in any order he thinks fit? I am willing to fill in gaps thereafter, or as required, if no one else comes forward.

I was in that constituency this weekend as it happens including some areas I haven't been before as well as looking at the now shell of the Aylesbury estate. I know Dulwich & West Norwood least I guess and B&OS best. I will do the rest of the Bedfordshire seats and then Chipping Barnet if Pete Wilkinson hasn't. Then I'm happy to mop up anywhere in London - I know it all well enough in a strictly academic sense, even if I don't have the same familiarity with a borough like Bexley as I do for Harrow or Brent

I am willing to fill in gaps thereafter, or as required, if no one else comes forward. it will be some days before I can start them. For one thing I'm not particularly well, for another if I am properly recovered I'm due to do a big canvass in Uxbridge & South Ruislip on Sunday as well as working all day tomorrow, AND I have leaflets to distribute for Fleur Anderson & the local Labour team in West Putney. Tuesday is a day off so perhaps I might be able to do one of them that day, or at least start it.
