Yes Hulme. Now they win in Hale. Its a funny old world Pete, out of interest, what is the map you have as your picture of/from? I can't work out the boundaries. Thanks! It's a map of all the pre-1973 local authorities which jm produced and I have coloured in according to which party had the most councillors - it was done before May this year though so it out of date. I have meant to update it following those elections, but that is not a small undertaking..

Hulme is quite a lot different now from the days when the Greens got somebody elected there, if anything you might think it would be more receptive to them presently. Wasn't the recent defection by one of the Hulme councillors? Yes - Greens now have 1 of the councillors in Hulme via defection. The seats up next year, so we'll see what happens then.

Yes, with the irony that Hulme of old probably had more in common with Woodhouse Park now, which is the Green bridgehead.

Isn't Cheese and Grain the venue where many artists go Glastonbury warm up sets. I think McCartney did one last year.

It's funny when people call this Somerset & Frome - where do they think Frome is? I'd expect London-based media outlets to know about Frome, but in 2010, the BBC referred to the seat of Brighton, Hove, which was even more surprising to hear from a London-based media outfit.

Pottering around Kilmersdon this morning, just inside S&M, across the border from NES. LDs were leafletting, no: 6 according to one resident ? They also had a leaflet from the Greens, but nothing from the Tories or Labour. Some field posters for the Tory, who evidently is ‘One of us’.

Was chief whip Wendy Chamberlain part of the leafletting team?

In Scotland, there are many who think there is a team called Partick Thistle Nil.

I believe the original myth was some woman believing that Rochdale Mill was a place after many years of hearing ‘Rochdale Nil’ on Sports Report…
