Do we know why Mr Randerson resigned? And then decided to stand again? The former, yes - just go back up the thread a bit.
The latter, no,although he said he was considering it

This noe counts on Thursday evening He resigned from the Labour Party over the direction of the Party under Starmer and resigned as a councilor at the same time forcing the byelection His election address might be interesting.

I've tried to upload the leaflets, but OpenElections refuses to progress until I claim that Tony is a party candidate from a fixed list of eight, and ElectionLeaflets keeps crashing.

Looking at the map, a bland name for the town, with bland names for the main roads (Westway and Eastway), which are curiously symmetrical, it feels like one of thhose fictional places used as the backdrop for emergency services training, or in a rather desultory mid afternoon TV soap

They got their crayons out and were able to draw their imagination over blank empty fields.

randerson 499 46% down from 73% libdem 281 26% from nowhere lab 169 16% down from 73% con 69 6% down from 22% throne 39 4% from nowhere grn 19 2% down from 4% 1076 t/o 22% up from 20% swing 23% Randerson to LibDem
Swing and change fiddly to calculate, as Randerson was previous Labour councillor. Arguably, the "RandLab" vote was 768 / 62%, down from 73%, with swing 23% "RandLab" to LibDem.
