As there's a double vacancy this year it's not a fair comparison, but here are the changes in candidate numbers for each party in Redditch:
Lab +2 (9->11) full house x2 Con +2 (9->11) full house x2 Green +1 (9->10) full house last time LD -2 (8->6) Ind -1 (1->0) RefUK +1 (0->1)

we'll definitely take these results though, in a constituency where we've been in freefall for several years now. It's the first sign of Labour reemerging as something like contenders in Redditch pretty much since the seat was lost in 2010. Although of course it can't be counted as a "Red Wall" seat, as one where the Tories have always been at least competitive and in occupation for over a decade, it does have rather Red Wall-style voting patterns in certain respects, and it's a definite improvement.
