A few years ago Oxford was identified by the Financial Times as the local authority most dependent on the state for employment. North Oxford is what I imagine Sheffield Hallam and Edinburgh West are like in socioeconomic terms. How many people work at the car plant now? Did managers there give the Tories a decent vote back in the day? Worth noting that Boars Hill and Cumnor seem to have voted against the Tories last year. I'm not sure Oxford City Council would have Conservative councillors if those places were included within its boundaries. Though a reminder that actually ended up Con 21, Lab 16 due to the originally incorrect Banbury result.

Changes in candidate totals (All ups in 2020, so half the total then): Con -1.5, Green +1, Lab 0, LD +1.

Amir Ali, the Independent in St Clements, has the somewhat surprising middle name of Steve.
