Of course 4 of the Tory seats were entirely unopposed. The rather fragmented opposition needs to do better next time. The St Ives South result is unusual - a presumably explicit sharing of the 2 seats between Labour and Lib Dems with both being elected comfortably.

Ironically this was one of the few councils to retain a Conservative council during the mid 1990s. The ones that have retained a majority since 1974 is now down to just a few councils with Wandsworth and Westminster also falling.
