Interestingly Hackney North & Stoke Newington has the lowest vote of any constituency for UKIP, for Reform UK and for the Heritage Party (all three broadly successor parties of UKIP). Hornchurch & Upminster and Dagenham & Rainham are in the top three for vote share for all three parties. So far so predictable. Those constituencies also occupied the two highest scores for the Animal Welfare party (and others where the UKIP legacy parties did well also featured highly) and Hackney North & Stoke Newington was one of the lowest, suggesting that whatever the platform of that party may be, it appeals to perhaps a rather right-wing or anti-woke type of animal lover (with the more left leaning types liable to opt for the Green party)

Somewhat amusing that the Animal Welfare Party had their strongest result in Barking.

Those constituencies also occupied the two highest scores for the Animal Welfare party (and others where the UKIP legacy parties did well also featured highly) and Hackney North & Stoke Newington was one of the lowest, suggesting that whatever the platform of that party may be, it appeals to perhaps a rather right-wing or anti-woke type of animal lover (with the more left leaning types liable to opt for the Green party) If you look at the maps on the Parliament petitions website in general animal welfare petitions do not align to the pattern of metropolitan middle class and university towns having the largest number of signatures that you see on many (most obviously anything opposing Brexit but the pattern goes well beyond that).

Somewhat amusing that the Animal Welfare Party had their strongest result in Barking. And not Battersea Pete Whitehead general exalts, the possible recipient of my quixotic nomination for end-of-year honours. BTW, that Taking the Initiative @blm racist dog-whistling thingy, does it actually exist outwith the BBC? I think this party stood in some of the local by-elections in Croydon and Enfield but wasn't on any of the GLA ballots.

I think you've got the Green % instead of the increase in Ilford South.

In Bristol the lowest number is in Bristol West. Bath is similarly low compared to surrounding seats.

The dynamics of council elections next year will also be rather different The Greens have always underperformed in H&WG, comparative to the demographics and the 'political atmosphere'. They might have expected the GLA elections to give them a big push and push there was, but as you say not enough to displace the Lib Dems in second in the constituency vote, unlike other places. I would still expect them to be more competitive next year, but they could well just flatter to deceive again. I'm presuming that there won't be a pact to help them. Their political strategy and targetting has always been rubbish here.
