Fox has called Virginia for Biden. Rather premature at 1% reporting in a swing state I would have thought.

Early numbers from Florida in Pasco county (55.8%) and Lee County (56.8%) favoring Trump. Lower percentages compared to last time in a few of the central Florida counties. Could be nothing, could be ominous. Trump is behind in Pinellas County as it stands, which he won last time.

I don't think there's usually this level of divergence between the networks in terms of which states they call. Makes the night more interesting anyway.

Is there a link for CNN on Youtube? Their website video is too small so you have to make it full screen, but then can't look at anything else.

DecisionDesk has over 2m votes in from Florida (about a fifth of the total), with Biden leading 53-46. But it's early vote only.

Fox has called Virginia for Biden. Rather premature at 1% reporting in a swing state I would have thought. The opposite of what I said about McGrath; Trump pretty much conceded Virginia, can you remember his last visit that wasn’t just leaving or arriving Andrews Air Force Base? Nearly every poll had Biden up double digits. Also Virginia is losing swing state status and moving pretty solidly towards the Democrats.

Alaska is solidly Republican territory; Don Young will have no trouble being re-elected. It is an awkward state not solidly Republican. Don Young only won by 18,. 780 votes (6.58%) last time. It had a Democratic Senator until former Sen, or Mark Begich only lost his seat by 6,014 (2.13%) in 2014. Well, reliably Republican because the opposition is frequently split in Alaska-the Libertarians and Greens often get respectable results in Alaskan elections.

squeaky bum time in Florida again I'm no expert on American elections, but it looks to me like Trump needs to have had a really good night in the North if is vote is looking lower around Orlando and Tampa.

AP has called KY for Trump although I imagine the fact that it's taken an hour is concerning for him They were just waiting for the polls to close in the Western part of the state.

No-one is calling South Carolina or Georgia, interesting. Seems to be far more caution by the various outlets this year.
If it's true that the early Florida figures include early / mailed votes, then I wonder if Biden needed to be further ahead than these early figures.

Both have had high-profile races talked about as tossups so not necessarily surprising

Remember this from Nate Cohn? It's definitely squeaky bum time in Florida.
Early vote for Sumter released so far: Trump - 66.31% - 55,424 Biden - 33.20% - 27,751 Total about 87,000 with others.
