I've read several AH timelines of Gore victories. They never are completed by authors who clearly get bored! A Gore presidency would never be exciting.
There is always the notion put forth that 9/11 would be averted with Gore playing a somewhat superman character.
Anyway... I've always considered a Gore victory likely if he'd only campaigned with Clinton. He was an incumbent still popular. Gore should have sucked it up and brought him on the campaign trail.
