The initial proposals here split the town of Leigh in order to make the numbers work here. The revised proposals avoid doing that. The main change is that Atherton is added from Bolton West and Astley Mosley Common is added to Worsley & Eccles. Leigh is still over quota whichever of those two wards is included and the Boundary Commission propose resolving this with a seemingly bizarre splitting of two wards - Atherleigh and Leigh West - with small slithers of each going to Makerfield. The impact of that change will be negligible as the numbers involved are.
