While Liverpool Exchange took its name from the railway station, I'm not sure about Manchester Exchange. Was it named after the Royal Exchange, the railway station, or was a geographic area known by that name by the time the constituency was created? Barnard Castle would be cheating, of course. Westminster Abbey. Liverpool Exchange station was presumably named after the adjacent stock exchange which predated the station? Oh, possibly. I mistakenly thought the station was given that name because of being joint ownership, but on checking, the original companies managed to give it two different names! Bradford Exchange (now replaced by Interchange) was (I think) named due to joint ownership, whereas Manchester Exchange was solely a LNWR matter.

Delighted though I am to see any thread drift off onto subjects ferroequinological I don't think there was ever a Wrexham Exchange constituency. Nor, indeed, a Wrexham stock exchange. I have always assumed Wrexham Exchange was so named because it offered an exchange between the GWR services and those provided by the GCR/ LNER/ WM&CQ.

The old St George's, Hanover Square seat sounds like it was named after a church. The long-defunct Birmingham All Saints too. which only ever had three MPs:
Denis Howell (1955-59) John Hollingworth (1959-64) Brian Walden (1964-74)
The two Labour MPs are quite famous, don't really know anything about the Tory MP sandwiched between them.

By the looks of it, that was more to advertise it as a junction: www.disused-stations.org.uk/w/wrexham_exchange/Aberdeen station opened as Aberdeen Joint Station, built to close up a north-south gap in the passenger network. I don't know of any others which got named for similar reasons, but I bet there were a few. (Unlike in America, which had loads of Union stations

Nor me, but when I lived in Harborne, one of my Tory councillors was Peter Hollingworth, possibly a relation?
Walden's son Phil was a contemporary of mine at Queen's, Oxford.

The Hollingworths were brothers. Peter Hollingworth was councillor for Harborne for 51 years (1960-2011)

Tatton along with Brighton Pavillion are the only two constituencies named after a building. Isn't Wentworth (and Dearne) named after Mrs Rees-Mogg's ancestors' place?

Wentworth is the village, although the presence of Wentworth Woodhouse is clearly why the small village was chosen as the name of the constituency.

I can still impersonate Mr Walden quite well. "Welcome to Weekend World".

Handforth has certainly made the news today. Former MP Osborne has commented on the Parish Council affair, but current MP Mcvey has been silent so far...

Handforth must be pretty solidly Tory in general elections but Barry Burkhill (one of the disruptive members) is a longstanding Cheshire East councillor elected as a Handforth Ratepayers Independent. The HRI seem to have taken a large part of the Tory vote locally.

Yes I think Handforth will be Tory in GEs (historically certainly not as solidy as other parts of Tatton though, it included the old Colshaw Farm Estate). There has been a very long history of the HRIs in Handforth, similar to neighbouring Heald Green Independent Ratepayers (although on the other side of the border in Stockport). In Local Elections these independents seem to take votes across the board.

There were once more were there not? I can think of Liverpool Exchange, and am now looking for others. What about Manchester Exchange? I can still recall knocking on doors in the 1973 bye-election for Frank Hatton.
