The interesting seats here are Didsbury East, Withington, Deansgate and Clayton. I wouldn’t be surprised to see all of these change hands.

Clayton & Openshaw by-election called for 27th February. That'll spice things up, if the independent runs.

It's a shame that Tatton doesn't include Wilmslow in its name instead, as there's a Wilmslow West & Chorley ward on Cheshire East.

Hoxton East and Shoreditch in Hackney is another Also, Probus, Tregony and Grampound in Cornwall I'm disappointed that there isn't one in Suffolk. Former constituencies of Aldeburgh, Orford, Lowestoft, Eye and Dunwich should have provided fertile enough territory!

He quit due to the coalition, I've no idea to what extent he might have mellowed since then, but grouping with Leech still doesn't sound likely. I can't imagine anyone would be in a huge rush to form a group this side of May anyway, so it'll depend on what happens then.

Do you think the Greens will get two elected in May and thus form a group? Given that Leech's shtick is that he was against the coalition (obviously his voting record screams otherwise) I'm not sure the coalition would be such an issue for him.

In the aftermath of the election drubbing, I think Labour could suffer quite a few losses here. Wouldnt be at all surprised if we saw the following gains: Greens: Chorlton Chorlton Park Woodhouse Park
Ind: Clayton & Openshaw - (if Ken Dobson is standing)
Lib Dems: Deansgate Piccadilly Didsbury E Gorton Withington

Chorlton & Chorlton Park are safe Labour holds.
Deansgate & Piccadilly are pretty much a coin-toss, due to low turnout, high turnover of residents, and complexities of leafleting/canvassing apartments.
Withington surely goes Lib Dem this time. Didsbury East even more so.
Gorton didn't show much swing in 2019, are the Lib Dems working it?
