This could be interesting but probably won't be.
Camden is just too strong for Labour for the Tories to win this while in office.

I will be voting for Roberto Weeden-Sanz. I just had to check Google to see if that was actually a real name rather than something straight out of Monty Python.

He was the candidate in Doncaster Central at the most recent general election, narrowly losing to Rosie Winterton.

Yes he's a real person and the Conservative candidate: What's the "Greater London Assembly"?

Miriam Mirwitch sounds like a Dickens character... Miriam - standard Biblical anglicisation of a very common Hebrew female name Mirwitch - a fairly thorough, but still recognisable, anglicisation of a fairly common Lithuanian Jewish surname Dickens - surname of a Victorian novelist known, among many other things, for anti-Semitic characterisation of at least some of his Jewish characters Miriam Mirwitch - a young female Jewish Labour politician, currently chair of Young Labour (something that some of her more Left-wing colleagues don't seem to have been happy about) I am almost certain that your comment wasn't intended to be (or even thought of as possibly being) in any way hostile, but ...

I'm fairly certain Tony made the comment because it does indeed sound Dickensian.

I'm fairly certain Tony made the comment because it does indeed sound Dickensian. Or at least *looks* Dickensian, if you don't pronounce the "w" as a "v".
The current Chief Rabbi is Ephraim Mirvis, which is a variant on the name. Ed Mirvish was a Canadian philanthropist, there's another variation. See here for more.

What's the "Greater London Assembly"? A wrong term used by an awful lot in all parties including: And it's not just limited to politicians:

Based on selections here, it’s pointless anyone from Camden trying for either the Conservative or Labour nominations with Clarke, Coleman, Dismore, Thomas and Weedon-Sanz all being Barnet people.
