Does anyone know where you can obtain the elctoral reviews that are scheduled for 2013/14? It is not on their website and it would be useful to see. Given that that ward boundaries in many areas are now over 10 years old, along with increasing disparities in many councils the number can only increase.

The LGBC for England doesn't do scheduled cycles of reviews anymore. Instead, they will initiate a review of a council's electoral arrangements where at least a third of the wards are more than 10% above or below the average for the council area, or one ward is more than 30% away from the average. So if all the wards are within 10% for the next 50 years, there won't need to be a review.

A full list of the councils where they have and are about to commence reviews is on their website page headed current consultations

Two new orders were published today: The East Hertfordshire and Stevenage (Boundary Change) Order 2013. This realigns the boundary between Stevenage and East Hertfordshire districts with effect from 1st April 2013 to bring all the properties on Gordian Way, Neptune Gate and Trajan Gate within Stevenage borough, and updates the ward and county division boundaries to match (the properties are transferred from Walkern ward and Hertford Rural division to Manor ward and Chells division. The Gateshead and Northumberland (Boundary Change) Order 2013. This realigns the boundary between Gateshead metropolitan borough and Northumberland county with effect from 1st April 2013 to bring all the properties at Ravensdale Farm, Hedley, near Stocksfield, within Northumberland county. The effect is to remove five parcels of land, including the Bungalow, from Chopwell and Rowlands Gill ward and transfer them to South Tynedale division, with two uninhabited parcels of land moving the other way.

I understand the RBKC proposals have just been published. I've seen the press release but it's not yet on the LGBCE site. The map of proposed wards is available on the consultation site: consultation.lgbce.org.uk/node/585/la=232

"Dalgarno"? Looks like Labour have got everything they wanted in North Kensington, but South Stanley ain't coming back. Score draw? Paragraphs 50 and 51: "...We therefore propose adopting the Labour Group’s proposed two-member Dalgarno ward and two-member St Helen’s ward with equal to and 3% more electors per councillor than the borough average by 2018, respectively. 51 Where the Labour Group’s proposed boundary between Dalgarno and St Helen’s wards follows St Quintin Avenue, we explored moving this boundary to the north, instead following Barlby Road. However, the Labour Group’s proposed warding pattern reflects identities and interests of residents on Barlby Road and the surrounding streets. Their focus is largely eastwards toward Ladbroke Grove or to the west outside of the borough. Furthermore, St Quintin Avenue and St Charles Square provide clear boundaries that reflect a natural divide in this area, largely due to Kensington Memorial Park and the non-residential properties within St Charles Square."

Wouldn't these changes make ST Charles better for the Tories though?

Can I just check that none of the London changes are going to come into effect until after the 2014 elections? The reason I ask is that I'm preparing a London target list at the moment which would be a bit of a waste of time otherwise.
