Thus, in Bridlington north, 4 of the 8 candidates got a smaller percentage of the votes than any of us predicted; 2 of the candidates got a greater percentage than any of us predicted; and only 2 of the candidates were within the range which we predicted. The maximum which we all predicted for each candidate added up to 177%, and the minimum we all predicted for each candidate added up to 53 %.
I don't know how these sorts of ranges compare with our predictions for other by-elections, because I haven't checked.
Labour governments are always voted in by empty minds, and voted out by empty pockets
No verdicts yet from middleenglander? And unusually nobody else has attempted to go on record with any interim results either? I wonder why?Don't envy ME his task with this one, but I guess not many people beat Olympian in Bridlington!

There are 6 by-elections next week, 1 on Tuesday and 5 on Thursday. Predictions on this thread by 9.00 am on ther day of the election.
Congratulations to middleenglander for coming up with the goods, which is more than could be said for most of us last week. Most of need to write out 100 times" I will not underestimate the Liberal Democrats in local by-elections"- particularly hard when you are one!
