And you dream of it being a better HOC for it of course instead of being a perpetuation of the total shambles we are witnessing there now. Instead of it being an outcome of a running sore caused by membership of the EU that we all hope to be over fairly soon, you wish to perpetuate it by altering the structure to ensure no majorities on anything ever again and perpetual chaos.Let us have some nice pink fluffy 'fairness' (otherwise known as the minor party and LD enabling act) and live unhappily and in chaos ever after. Erm....... Yes, your Grace, a little mild hyperbole but I hope your Eminence knows what I mean and agrees that in your Blessedness you can forgive a penitent FPP sinner?

I think what Mark is pointing out is that elections like this show that there is support well beyond our false binary political system. Even if people did not change their votes, PR would lead to a very different House of Commons, as you of course know. And you dream of it being a better HOC for it of course instead of being a perpetuation of the total shambles we are witnessing there now. Ah yes, I am observing the complete lack of chaos brought about by FPTP, and also the fact that the Tory Party is creating most of that chaos all by itself (with a little help from the DUP) Meanwhile Germany, despite long negotiations over coalition, nevertheless seems to avoid chaos.. In PR, people get what the vote for. If more than 50% want a Tory government, that is exactly what they will get. But your views are far from commanding a majority so it would be unlikely. So just calm down dear!

A remarkably high vote for the Socialist Alternative Obviously the bulk of it was from previous supporters of the TUSC-in-all-but-name "Independents".

It ran very well. Since 2009 we have been under the tender guidance of Cheshire East, with a substantial majority administration. It does not run well. Just saying.
