There appears to be just 3 by-elections in January - 2 on 10 January and - 1 on 31 January
Two of the by-elections are for County Councils last contested in 2017 and one for a District Council where there will be elections again in May
Conservatives defend 1 seat following the resignation of the former Councillor Independents defend 2 seats following the death of the former Councillor for both seats.
With all nominations now known: There are 3 each Conservative, Labour and UKIP and 2 each Liberal Democrat and Independent along with 1 Green candidate - a total of 14 candidates so far.
Predictions on this thread by 9.00am on day of by-election.

With only 3 contests this month, the winner in Bexhill St Marks could go a long way to deciding the month!

With only 3 contests this month, the winner in Bexhill St Marks could go a long way to deciding the month! Yes indeed , and in terms of the annual competition this could be the easiest 10 points ever,. What a shame for jamesrodriguez that he was a few minutes over the deadline as it cost him the win in St Marks but congratulations to Toylyyev who takes a significant win at the first attempt.
