Local paper is reporting that Onasanya to be sentenced on January 29 at the Old Bailey Six weeks after the guilty verdict. Over £5.5k in net wages, not bad. O'Flynn is clearly eager to stand. When was the last time there was a contested hustings for an SDP nomination do we think?

I imagine something similar to the 'hustings' we (UKIP) had to select our candidate for the 2015 election. There was only one prospective candidate and we all knew we were going to select him but we went through the motions of holding a vote (in that case a simple yes/no vote)

BBC reporting she's appealing the guilty verdict. No reason given, or nor a hearing date for the appeal. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-46906006If the appeal is unsuccessful does that potentially affect the sentence (or is a sentence only affected if there is remorse/admission of guilt)?

Hello there! I'm a bit of a know-nothing when it comes to political and legal nuts and bolts. If there isn't a 12month custodial sentence, do you reckon that either or both labour and the conservatives would try to use call back legislation?

Ahh, right. Thanks. so do you think either of the parties would actively encourage people to sign? From my limited understanding, there will never be an "organic" call back petition becuase of the numbers involved, and there would almost certainly have to be a serious effort for a political party or third party to make recall kick in.

I meant that I thought the bar was quite high - people have to personally go to an office to sign up, and that people dont get round to doing that in numbers unless encouraged. Sorry that I'm being imprecise with language. I don't really know what I'm asking.

Sorry that I'm being imprecise with language. I don't really know what I'm asking. You're not being imprecise at all, honest The whole thing is quite new to the UK, as I am sure you know. The organisation in North Antrim was criticised for only opening three sign-in centres alongside postal votes. Peterborough might open far more, we have to wait and see. From what we've seen of the case, I'm not sure Peterborough will need a recall.

North Antrim opened three because that's how many council areas the seat covers part of. The Peterborough constituency is entirely contained within one.

Sets a dangerous precedent.
