He’s almost as awful as David Ward. the GenSec? The former Lib Dem MP for Bradford East, I would think.

I like 'Turner' and thought Spall was amazing in the role. A very leftist close friend was an extra in it. Did he do the wonderful 'Abigail's Party'? he did indeed. would you like a cheese and pineapple thing on a stick? Up north, that's our definition of a cocktail.

"Ken Loach, Peace be upon him" Oh dear again! I mentioned Mike Leigh above and should have written Ken Loach. not keen on either, but it was Loach I meant. My two favourite British film directors

Also a big no thanks to Chris Williamson. He's clearly unsuitable to be on the front bench. And TBH probably to be in the Labour Party at all. He's a Johnny-come-lately apparent convert to left-wing socialism and dallies with dangerous anti-Semites such as Vanessa Beeley & Scott Nelson. One more thing out of him & I'll be calling for him to be suspended, at least. There I've said it. Disagree entirely but then we have very fundamental disagreements on Israel. I don't support your stance at all. I fail to see the relevance of Barnaby’s stance on Israel.

I don't like to assume the worst in situations where it is hard to know but one particular recent incident involving Chris was very stupid at best.
Even a very generous reading off him would be as a loose cannon with too much passion (remember very generous) it is okay to be a bit of a rabble rouser and fight your sides corner but he seems to go out of his way to wind up those opposed to him. The last part, basically trolling is something a few on all wings seems to engage in.
In terms of the left wing conversion there can be something of the toeing the party line, he was (from what I know) already a convert before the 2017 election when converting isn't necessarily as positive a career move as it seems post 17 election.

Yes, he was definitely moving to the left in the Miliband era (wasn't that why he was sacked from the front bench?)

Barnaby's dislike of Chris Williamson is linked to Williamson's stance on Israel. Mine is closer to Willuamson's than Barnaby's.

Are we supposed to be offended by the video? I found it quite funny personally.

Personally I think the video is neither particularly funny nor particularly horrendous. Without any context at all, it's a meaningless excerpt which changes my opinion of Fiona Onasanya not one jot...

UKIP has announced that its sole Peterborough city councillor John Whitby will be its candidate. He contested North West Cambridgeshire in the 2017 General Election.

O'Mara was proclaimed at the time of the 2017 Election as their first elected MP. Only that wasn't correct. He wasn't regarded as particularly left wing and had no previous connection with Momentum. He had been an unsuccessful local council candidate. He is clearly not in a great position in terms of his own health. I hope he will recover to the extent that he will be able to contribute to any discussions about mental health and autism which he has personally experienced Only it is true.

As a member in Sheffield O'Mara as far as I'm aware wasn't associated with momentum or the left of the party
