Is there any point Zac Goldsmith staying in the Tory party ? As much point I suppose as someone like Frank Field staying in the Labour Party . |

I do not believe Field is constantly having a go at his leader and party over policies though. Many of us wished he would go even Liam Byrne is seeing the truth of taking money off the poor and sick
Goldsmith is wasting his time staying in and could win the seat as an Indy anyway I think.

how many in the party believe the same kind of thing about GM as he believes and I agree with him on. Following on from tweets a few weeks ago it is clear he is very very unhappy and no real alternative leader in the party he would like  |

Cllr. David Gawn (LB Harrow) has resigned his membership of the Labour Party following his conviction for fraud and attempted theft in December. He was the subject of an investigation by the London Labour Party but resigned before it could report.
In May 2010 the composition of Harrow Council was: Lab 34, Con 27, Lib Dem 1, Ind 1.
It could be argued that the composition is now: Lab 33, Con 27, Lib Dem 1, Ind 2. There are some caveats to these numbers. The Labour total includes 1 vacancy (West Harrow ward). The Conservative total includes 2 councillors who have resigned from the Tory Group and who sit as Independents. I have not classed them as independents as I am unsure if they have also resigned their national party memeberships.

Would be reasonable to class them as indy in council terms as that is the practical effect of leaving the group, even if they still have membership cards hathering dust in a drawer
