I will ask my friend from the Jewish Greens what her reaction to this is. It seems extraordinary even for the Scottish Greens, seeing that Hamas is internationally recognised as a terrorist organisation.

I can only presume that the Scottish Greens, on seeing how how stupidly the SNP handled the case of John Mason, decided that they needed to reclaim their title of "Scotland's daftest mainstream party".

John Ross Scott, Lerwick East on Shetland, has been kicked out of the Scottish Greens for saying that Hamas is a terrorist organisation. He was officially kicked out October 8th, but was not told at the time. He is appealing the decision. Why he’d want to is beyond me though, in my view he’s well rid. I left the Greensin 2015, after 30 years activism, including being a cllr for them for 7 years, due to antisemitism in the party. Bit even this shocks me. But the Scottish Greens are way down the rabbit hole on issues like this. So maybe it shouldnt shock me. May e this will wake up some other decent Greens to question their loyalties www.thetimes.com/uk/scotland/article/scottish-greens-expel-councillor-who-called-hamas-a-terrorist-group-k577pcmwfI will ask my friend from the Jewish Greens what her reaction to this is. Up to the Greens. Personally I hope the councillor leaves. Israel "democratic". I don't think so.
