If Labour can't turn the shambles of this week into a solid polling lead then the party has very serious problems.

I suggest that the entire UK political establishment has very serious problems. The Tories are moving towards a mid-term collapse but some way to go yet. Labour are looking feeble and hopeless and deeply riven outside the parliamentary parties. The Liberal Democrats do not appear to the public to be doing anything. In my view the position is dangerous and no, I don't know what is going to happen. I do wonder whether Johnson will last long when (or if) the Tories start to poll consistently below 35% or lower.

How on earth can one in four people approve of Patel, and Gove? There is too much madness in the land.

I wonder what kind of ratings Lord Greaves would get if anybody knew who he was? Pretty low on both rhetoric and delivery I should imagine

Oh I get out a bit and I see some of the madness out there. It is still a sing of madness to approve of either of these two appalling individuals. (n my opinion, of course).

Also I am not a clever but basically dishonest seeker of personal glory, nor am I an ignorant person of fascistic views.

Regrettable hyperbole displaying neither Liberalism nor a respect for Democracy. I’d suggest that his Lordship might be well served if he were to choose to avoid making such inaccurate and gratuitous insults as if they were acceptable political comments. Every time I wonder whether it’s worth considering supporting the LibDems, someone at Local or National level comes along to remind me just how much vile unpleasantness lies just beneath the surface.

Pretty sure I took part in this one. If I remember rightly, Opinium is still prompting for UKIP but not Brexit / Reform so I had to put "Other".

Also maybe significant that our government handled it with a pretty straight bat, rather than the jingoistic grandstanding that might have been expected on past form.

Agreed but even our government could see that there is simply no need to grandstand when your opposition (The EU not Labour) have made such a monumental cock up.
