That is a rather pithy summation of the views your PR guys are taking on Twitter right now.

Does UKIP actually have any form of candidate testing or approval? If so, I presume it's not particularly rigorous... Geoffrey doesn't think it is rigorous enough clearly: Still, as long as Pimp is happy to be promoting this guy, that's ok.

Still, as long as Pimp is happy to be promoting this guy, that's ok. Obviously not. I was totally unaware of these views - he's obviously been on his best behaviour whilst the team were around, as he's said nothing remotely controversial or abhorrent. I have been discussing this with the Party all afternoon and am pleased we haven't fudged this is any way, but took decisive action. I hope this will be the case in future such revelations as well.

I have posted my predictions for tomorrow's elections but had held off on the two on thursday, which I'm rather pleased about. I had worked out predictions which will now undergo some revisions. Incidentally, I don;t see the comments attributed to Mr Tingle as remotely comparable

I didn't mean to insinuate that Tingle's words were in the same league, just that UKIP candidates seem to have an uncanny frequency in going off-message in some way.

Pimp will be happy to know that this little stoush in Meopham even made it over here in Australia this morning.

There was also a brief article in the Telegraph, somewhere around page 10 or thereabouts. No mention of the suspension of the candidate from the party was given, nor was the UKIP response particularly decisive.

Are we going to get any of these tonight? I dunno, a rare occasion when I'm actually up and awake for the by-election results and they don't appear to be coming.

If they are counting tonight they'd better hurry up as I have to drive almost to that damn borough rather early in the morning

The count does appear to be tonight in Spelthorne. Shouldn't take long in a compact ward with one assumes a low turnout and we're not expecting it to be close

They didn't yesterday. Sunbury is in Middlesex, my fellow-Hertfordshire resident.

Middlesex was abolished in 1965, Sunbury has been in Surrey since then.

Middlesex County Council might have been, Middlesex most certainly wasn't.
Speaking as someone who was born in Paddington, Middlesex, brought up mainly in Balham, Surrey, and watches his cricket in Kennington, Surrey and football in Mitcham, Surrey. (and resides in a village split down the middle by the Herts/Bucks border- but don't get me started on that one!)
