This is slightly odd because I was never aware of any untoward rumours or gossip of this sort about Geraint Davies in the 8 years when he was my MP. He was once described by a newspaper as a “laughably obvious Blairite toady”, and he was a bit gallumphious politically, but not this.

Given the list of 180 MPs in 2018 with allegations of sexual harassment that ended careers, blocked people's selections, led to suicides, etc. I'm surprised we didn't hear about it then

Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Southgate, has the Labour whip suspended
Bambos Charalambous has had the Labour party whip suspended after a complaint was made against him. Mr Charalambous, the MP for Enfield Southgate, has stood down from his role as Labour's shadow foreign office minister for the Middle East and North Africa. A formal complaint was submitted to Labour's independent complaints process, according to The Guardian who first reported the story. As a result, he was administratively suspended from the Labour Party, which then has the automatic effect of suspending him from the parliamentary party. Mr Charalambous said in a tweet: "I am aware that there is an allegation that requires investigation by the Labour Party. "It is right and proper that process is allowed to take place. I will cooperate fully and play my full part. "It is not appropriate to say anything further at this time." Mr Charalambous is the ninth Labour MP to have lost the party whip since the 2019 general election and not had it restored.

Not sure if this is the right place, but Angus MacNeil has been suspended from the SNP group at Westminster. Not a surprise given his outburts against O'Hara.

We would certainly fancy our chances there now, yes. The swing required is not a particularly large one compared with many other once safe Labour seats.

I know nothing about it but it seems quite a difficult seat to predict. Hasn't been labour since 2001. Since the SNP first stood in 1970 it's spent almost 40 years in the last 50 odd as an SNP seat. Given their turmoil who knows

It isn't a normal constituency and Labour have a strong candidate. It was considered a better shot for Labour than some seats which look easier on paper even before the events of this year. That's not the same as saying it's a sure thing: no room for complacency.

Angus Brendan Macneil isn't returning to the SNP - for now, at least.

Angus Brendan Macneil isn't returning to the SNP - for now, at least. I always thought he was a likely Alba recruit if they had shown the slightest possibility of being electorally successful.

Alba vs Christian Party for third place might be fun actually....
I wonder what he'd do if the SNP decided to select a candidate while he's sitting as an independent?
