Its fairly obvious this pollster still prompts for UKIP, and IMO equally obvious that they shouldn't. Well, it's interesting to see that there are people who still think UKIP is a 'thing', also I guess equally interesting for Farage who is busy planning a reunion tour.

I'm seeing this construction more and more. How on earth do people get lost looking for the '/' key? It's there right next to all the other punctuation. Most people don't seem to take in that there is no apostrophe in a plural even though they were taught it at school. They don't teach about slash / backslash except maybe in computer science so it's little wonder people use them interchangeably. Or, much more simply, if you’re typing on a phone or tablet it’s the same key depressed for a second too long, and people don’t proofread prior to posting.

That of they can't remember what continuity UKIP is called today so they just pick the name that they recognise.

I was taught the practicality of punctuation at school, but never the point of it. I only improved my grammar once I started work and really needed it, saw the point of it. It's still not as good as my mum's was though.

They don't need teaching, they just need to possess that bit of their brain that allows them to observe the surrounding world.

Quite a few polls seem to be consistently finding well into double digit % switchers from Conservative to Labour, though the caveat to the Tweet below is that Labour started 4% further behind in 2019 so there would be more switchers expected in the event of a large Labour lead.

The other caveat is that the comparison shouldn't be with how Labour did in 1997 but how they were doign in equivalent polls in 1994-5
