The green bits will be the only parts which are remotely affordable. You mean the other parts are empty because no-one can afford to live there? If you've a spare million or so for a normal semi-d.
Housing affordability and availability (both rental and purchase) are big issues, the failure to address which over the last six or seven years has been a large contributor to the rise of the Shinners.

I see this area includes Rathmines which was the only Unionist seat in what is now the Republic of Ireland in 1918 There's a turn of the century (well 1908) Irish play called "The Suburban Groove" by W F Casey which is set in Rathmines, and centres on a family trying to be respectable beyond their means. part of the point is that , although Irish, they are aiming for "British" respectability.

No excuse for authoritarian law, even if she is not someone you agree with.

I just came across this tweet from earlier in earlier in the week:
Mallow News @mallownews · 8 Jul #DublinBaySouth Big worry for Fine Gael this morning as many of their supporters will have been up late last night celebrating the England win.
Not sure that Varadkar fits that imagined stereotype

No excuse for authoritarian law, even if she is not someone you agree with. All she has to do is put a bloody mask on. They aren’t shooting her or stopping her being elected.

Latest estimates suggest Ireland's population has passed 5 million for the first time since 1851. Since the constitution sets a band between 20,000 people and 30,000 per representative in Dáil Éireann and it was already at the upper limit that means it will need to go from 160 members to at least 169 and probably more likely 172 after the census which will be held next year (postponed a year due to Covid.)

Adding even just another 9 TDs, let alone another 12, will result in quite a drastic redistribution of Dail constituencies-look at how much change occurred for the distribution that took place at the 2016 Irish general election following a reduction from 166 TDs to 158.

Ireland outside of Dublin is not happy as they bearing the brunt of climate change taxes. Is Sinn Fein taking a strong stance against climate change related taxes? They oppose the carbon tax or at least any more rises as its due to reach 100 euros a ton by 2030. For those who do not know carbon tax is charged on heating fuel and since rural Ireland heating largely runs on oil plus more often than not there a backup coal/wood/peat fireplace it caused a fair bit of anger. There are of course other factors such as the north south interconnector, EU fines on fishing, smokey fuel ban and the fact SF has become the labour party on health care plus other issues.

Aontu aren't likely to lose Peadar Tóibín's seat in Meath West (Which Ireland Elects seems to have forgotten they held at the last election). Irish Labour are an absolute joke of a party.
