And no, I don't have any intention to map any other city.

I can't blame you, but if you look below this text, I've done a map of Bielefeld: Bielefeld doesn't exist anyways, so you might as well map its entirely made-up results! Honestly, it'd probably be about the third most interesting map, after Cologne and Dortmund...

The Südschleswigsche Wählerverband (SSW, who for the uninitiated represent the Danish minority in the far north) have announced their intention to take part in next year's federal election. The plan was narrowly agreed to by delegates at their annual party conference in Flensburg. They would not be subject to the 5% hurdle.

Wuppertal has been won by the Green (joint Green and CDU candidate since round 1, Green party member though).

Wuppertal has been won by the Green (joint Green and CDU candidate since round 1, Green party member though). When the WDR-ticker had originally the SPD-man ahead, i was surprised: CDU&Greens is - presently - just too sexy in undeprived areas.

Leverkusen: SPD 70%
The (not really) district of Recklinghausen fell narrowly to CDU, also Wesel.

Mayors: 2014/5: 2020; Pink is so common, because it includes not only nonpartisan lists and small parties, but also joint candidates (a la CDU&FDP or Greens&CDU in Cologne&Wuppertal).

They are in a rather picturesque spot overlooking the harbour in Flensburg, which is itself a very enjoyable place to spend a day and a night when the weather is good.

Who has won in NorthRhine-WestPhalia? Here is an OverView, which districts have altered and how many peolple were sive will be governed by which party on the district level (either unitary-cities or rural districts): (The city of Aachen with its GREENS-mayor is part of "StädteRegion Aachen".)

I am sorry - i mixed in Gütersloh district and capital - the district was defended by CDU (and even by an Adenauer!): So CDU governs roughly twice as many citizens as SPD does in its proclaimed "HerzKammer" ("HeartChamber") NRW.

Stuttgart is electing today a new mayor - after having made the city debt-free last year (albeit the CityCompanies continued to have ~400m Euro [not more than the budget-SurPlus of 1 year]) incumbent Kuhn from the RealoWing of TheGreens is retiring after only 8 years. (Klett [Indep., ~ southgerman Lib.] served for 29 years [1945-1974] Rommel [CDU] - yes, son of the famous general - for 23 [1974-1997], Schuster [CDU] 16 [1997-2013]!) Here are the ElectionResults since 1945 for the CityCouncil, which is nota bene not up: An OpinionPoll of univ.Hohenheim (1.210 respondents) and another one of InfratestDimap (n=500) came to these numbers: 24-29/24 CDU 19-24/25 Greens 13-17/19 SÖS (EcoSocial, cooperating with TheLeft) 12-16/18 Ind. (exSPD) 10-13/23 SPD 0?-0?/04 AfD Most important issues: - Univ.Hohenheim: 64% flats too expansive, 53% flats too few - InfratestDimap: 28% traffic, 23% housing A divided left is not entirely new there.

One reason for the weak performance of the GREENS-woman might be, that she is "teacher" of "eurythmics"...
