Basel-City, parliament (provisorical): Seats: Votes: % in Electoral Districts (the second village - Bettingen - is not included, as it is entitled to only 1 seat, making it a FPTP-race):

The % should be like these: The 2 GREEN-parties gained - under a stable TurnOut - 7.5%!

Final result for... - ministers: - presidency: The second candidate of the LiberalP., the party of the "Daig" (once the old antidemocratic-liberal patricians), narrowliest missed (79 votes) to be elected in this round.

In BaselCity the GREENS-CityPresident won't run in the RunOff. It's unclear, who will have a try instead (i guess a GREENy for the minister and a SPS-HeavyWeight - perhaps the FinanceMinitra, who received last SunDay the best result - for the presidency), but RedGreen should be able to defend its majority in government (held since 2004).

BaselCity: PerCentages: Seats (despite getting 50.4% SPS&GPS won't have an OverallMaj. of seats due to a new super-proportional DistributionSystem [which is obviously also not perfect]): %-changes in cantonal elections since the federal one 1 year ago:

In canton Jura 7 cnadidates will run this SunDay for the 5 minister-seats: The 4 incumbents should be clearly reelected, the seat of PCSI (left catholics) seems to go to CVP ("white" catholics).

...but with these results in the parliamentary election: ...a retain for CSPI (or even a defeat of the sole FDP-minister, giving the left bloc 4/5) is not impossible.

Jura: The RunOff ended with the left defending the 3/5 majority won last spring: Jura was formerly firmly in the PDC/CVP-column, but has trended leftwards like French CH in general and is now roughly 50%:50% like the whole of French-CH. Cf. 2019: Presently the left obtains GovernmentMajorities in the French cantons Jura, Vaud, Neuchatel and in german BaselCity, while missing it in Geneve (MCG votes economically left though), Fribourg/Freiburg and Valais/Wallis (both cantons have more rightleaning german minorities).

Bern-City was electing its CityGovernment (5 members) and Council today. Because of the 2 federal referenda the counting isn't finished yet. Being labelled as "Switzerland's most left-wing city" RedGreen (or rather: GreenRed, the mayor is from the moderate version of the 2 GREENS-parties [and he is from one of the old patrician families...]) has had 4/5 ministers as FDP and SVP were split last time. (The 5 MinisterSeats are distributed proportionally, what encourages combined coalitions of parties.) CityGovernments: Parliament:

Bern's "CityPresident" (=mayor) was a clear thing: The GREENish-incumbent v.Graffenried derives - as mentioned - from a family of the old UpperClass (the "Burger"). His challenger - a weirdo - refused to wear a mask today and was as a result led away in HandCuffs...

GreenRed will doubtlessly hold its majorities in parliament and cabinet. Exciting is the fight for their 4th seat in government: Can the FDP&SVP-coalition take it away from them? Or will they replace the sole minister of the Mid-list (CVP&GreenLiberals&EVP)?

Bern delivers 3 GREEN lists (perhaps a record?):
- GreenLiberals (Mid-coalition)
2 within the RedGreenMid-coalition:
- "GrünesBündnis/GB" (hard left [POCH, Trotzkysts, 68er]) - "GrüneFreieListe/GFL" (soft left)

His challenger - a weirdo - refused to wear a mask today and was as a result led away in HandCuffs... The funny aspect in CH is, that in theory he could be elected CityPresident, but fail to get elected as minister (as happened recently nearly in Basle). What would make a new election for the presidency necessary.

St.Gallen-city elected today in the RunOff its 5th minister and the CityPresident:
The former was won by FDP, which failed in the contest for the latter position against SPS.
So the city of the liberal ("neoliberal"/"libertarian") BusinessUniversity ("Hochschule SG/HSG") will be presided by SPS and a midleft majority in the CityGovernment (2 SPS, 1 GLP, 1 Ind., 1 FDP).

In some SubUrbs of BernCity (Burgdorf, Langenthal, Zollikofen, Worb, Münchenbuchsee) the Right has lost ground and (Mid)Left has captured several majorities.
We have to take into account, that the Right achieved good results last time due to the "refugees"-crisis of 2015. But nevertheless this seems to be in line with long-term trends of SubUrbs moving leftwards.

The "BürgerlichesBündnis/BüBü" of FDP&SVP failed to win 1 minister - quite a disaster, when being united.
4 RedGreenMid: - 2 SPS - 1 GB - 1 GFL (mayor)
1 Mid: - 1 CVP
