I joined UKIP a couple of weeks ago as it happens. Clearly not a defection as such, except in as much as it is a defection from DVD

Yeah it was already been under my name (and I have posted under UKIP colours in another place for many years) as I've been a supporter for a long while now and did join back in 2006/7 but my membership lapsed, so its really just a matter of having finally got my arse in gear and coughed up the £30

Yeah it was already been under my name (and I have posted under UKIP colours in another place for many years) as I've been a supporter for a long while now and did join back in 2006/7 but my membership lapsed, so its really just a matter of having finally got my arse in gear and coughed up the £30 £31 for the Greens  plus of course the money I'm about to put in for my re-election bid! |

Yes it is. IN the old place I think there was a thread about councils becoming LD free zones (and free zones for other parties). Many of these were trailed for this May such as Knowsley, Harlow etc. Does anyone know of any that have become Tory free zones which weren't previously? I think South Tyneside was on the cards but they managed to hold Cleadon this year

According to the council website he hasn't joined the Independent group so he's listed as a 'Coppull Independent'.

It was my decision, but was supported by the local Green party group when we discussed it last night - I've honestly no idea if it's encouraged/suggested by the national party. I know it is only really possible for independents joining a political party but I quite like this. |
