May be that MP's in the "Cameroon" camp are trying ( with some success?) to squeeze the awkward squad in the '22. |

Simply because that awkward squad is not small in number, maybe a third of the MP's LD's can not hold against that can they ? |

Eric Joyce has resigned his Labour Party membership (I believe he was already suspended?).

The Labour Party whip had been suspended (on 23 February); evidently Joyce has left the Parliamentary Labour Party and also resigned membership of the Labour Party in the country.
It isn't unknown for Parliamentarians' affiliation in Parliament to be different from their affiliation in the country, although it is rare.

I tend not to pay much heed to local councillors defecting, often it's because they didn't get preferment on some pointless local panel or that the Mayoral consort forgot to put sugar in their cup of tea.
