The curse of things being shared and the dates not always registering. And a North Korean election doesn't exactly have the world speculating on the possible outcomes.

This appears to be from 2014. Good spot. Although elections in the DPRK are a sham and just another part of the way the régime rules through fear and intimidation disguised via propaganda as loyalty, I think more news outlets the world over would've picked up on this story had there been a vote with the past week or so. I had been wondering what the need for a snap election would be only a few years after the last on! (Unless as a signal that head-counting exercises would be more frequent under Kim Jong-Un than they were when his father was in charge.) |
