To come - just Herefordshire (which I think counts tomorrow), Lewes (which may do so), and the three results from Cannock.1 of which is a County seat.

CROYDON South Norwood Patsy CUMMINGS (Labour Party) 1,671 Rebecca NATRAJAN (The Conservative Party Candidate) 475 Claire Elizabeth BONHAM (Liberal Democrats) 388 Peter UNDERWOOD (Green Party) 218 Michael SWADLING (UK Independence Party (UKIP)) 78 Just got back from the count, which (unusually) was in South Norwood instead of at the Town Hall in the town centre. Electorate 12,505 Turnout 2,841 (22.72%) spoilt 11 valid total 2,830 Time of arrival of the ballot boxes at the count were: SN3 10:14pm SN6 10:21 SN4 10:25 SN1 10:26 SN2 10:27 SN5 10:35 Declaration at 11:28pm Postal votes 1,047 Day votes 1,794 The main surprise was the big vote for the Lib Dems. The Labour, Conservative & Green Parties have all been campaigning heavily with photos of groups of people on Twitter, but we didn't detect the Lib Dem surge until we started tallying.

SUFFOLK St John's Sarah Louise ADAMS (Labour Party) 1,247 James Anthony Lymer HARDING (Conservative Party Candidate) 483 Edward Frederick PACKARD (Liberal Democrats) 200 Charlotte ARMSTRONG (The Green Party) 52 The best vote share Labour have mustered in St Johns since 1973 on different boundaries and only 136 votes down since May (+5% in share). The Tories meanwhile are down 358 votes (-7%), LibDems up 80 votes (+5%) and Greens down by 86 (-3%). I'd say that means Labour can be ecstatic and the LibDems relatively pleased.

Is there any gossip on this Unionist guy in Fortissat? I'm personally predicting that he will become the right-wing Tommy Sheridan.

If you add in the Babergh result (in what a superficial observer - i.e. me a few weeks ago on holiday - would have seen as classic southern England country town Tory territory) I'd say the Suffolk Labour party ought to be pretty pleased with themselves. OK-ish results for us, though I believe in you go back to the turn of the millennium we were contenders in Babergh.

Just went away to work it out whilst you posted. By my count Labour is on 21 Councillors. Still a majority though. I think all your other figures are correct.

OK-ish results for us, though I believe in you go back to the turn of the millennium we were contenders in Babergh. I expected Sudbury South to go to Labour by more than one vote. They were within five of splitting the ward on a general election turnout in 2015 with the same candidate and they took Sudbury on the county council level in May. As you say, Sudbury South was LibDem territory pre-coalition. Still a significant fall off for the party from topping the vote and splitting the ward back in 2011. Even back then, Cresswell and Labour were within spitting distance of the Tories.

In the County Council elections in May, Sudbury (which consists of Sudbury South and Sudbury North wards on Babergh District Council) was one of the few divisions that Labour gained off the Conservatives across the whole country and it is certain that Labour would have outpolled the Conservatives in Sudbury South comfortably on that occasion. Considering that there has been at least a 4.5% swing to Labour since then to only win Sudbury South by 1 vote is pretty poor. It's somewhat ironic that Labour's (relatively) poorest result thus far has come in a seat that Labour gained.
