Hello folks! I am brand new to this forum so I'll introduce myself I am a proud Welshman but also a unionist, I'm pro-EU and UK and I support close ties with our neighbours. Politically speaking, I'd call myself a moderate social democrat and an environmentalist, I'd go with Labour in most elections.

You will find the forum a little different to usual at the minute, what with the lack of elections, but there are still things going on, and of course many topics to be discussed. Do let BossMan know if you wish to be added to the Labour group on here, which makes you appear in red and allows you access to their private room.

I've just been looking at the admin panel, and you too should be able to add people to party groups should they so ask.

So you'll have to do any adding as required.

Welcome @cymru from your brief bio you seem eminently sensible, which should go down well with most on here, but not all

Did you mean "yn iach" instead of "yn yach"?

Hello. My name is Boogieeck. I have been tagged in a post by Admin on a thread in which I am not permitted to reply. I would like to reply. I don't think that is unreasonable. That post informs me that he intends to create a post for the discussion of moderation actions. Not as radical as some might think, it existed a long time before he became Moderator. I can't, however, find that thread. Can anyone tell me where it is I have a rock show on Twitch.tv/boogieeck at 9pm tonight. In the end that new thread ended up merging with the old one, and it was moved to the "Off-Topic" board, since there were concerns about guests getting their first impression of the forum from a thread discussing moderation issues. It's now stickied in off-topic, or you can find it here.

Hello my name is Philip and I live in Macclesfield.
I have been a keen Labour supporter and follower of a politics for a long time. It has been a tumultuous few years in British politics certainly since 2015.
The American election has been pretty fascinating as well and it will be great to get all the certified state results ASAP.

Nice town, Macclesfield - I grew up in Congleton but went to King's Mac for Sixth Form. And in the last few months my mother has moved back there. Also don't know if you were part of the Labour campaign in 2015; Tim Roca is a fellow Westminster City Councillor.

I had aspirations to be the Parliamentary candidate for Macclesfield in 1979. I thought I had the nomination in the bag when I turned up fit the selection netting and found that members from Poynton, who nominated me, were there in force. Unfortunately the members from Macclesfield were not and the meeting was declared inquorate. The reconvened meeting coincided with the local holiday in Poynton and I lost out in the selection. I stood for Hazel Grove in 1979 but would have relished a fight against Nick Winterton.
