True, though some names are cool even if they don't stand for anything, for example Harry S Truman indeed of course Star Trek wasn't the direct inspiration for my username choice.

James Augustus Kirk James Vespasian Kirk James Nero Kirk James Hadrian Kirk James Commodus Kirk James Constantine Kirk?
Nero? Commodus? Worse than Tiberius by a long chalk. Following on from tiberius's link, I reckon James Tiberius Gracchus Kirk would've worked and I'm going to think of him as being named after one of the Gracchii from now on.

Thank you for the welcome. Your're welcome. Hope you enjoy it, the debates are lively and sometimes heated (rarely personal), but done in the best taste and with wry humour at times.

And the LibDems have never faked a photo opportunity then? For someone so "honest" and "ordinary", with such "integrity" - the train stuff was pretty cynical. My point was that Corbyn works hard to maintain his 'authenticity'. In answer to your question, I doubt that a Lib Dem leader has ever done something quite like the Corbyn train stunt, but I'm happy to stand corrected.

I wonder if Spock's first name was Benjamin? Spock is his given name. Vulcans are thought to have a clan name, but are unpronounable by humans and not transliteratable into latin characters. Male Vulcan names always start with S, a degenerate form of the word for male, and female names always start with T, a degenerate form of the word for female, similar to Japanese -ro and -ko.

Some interesting new evidence about "traingate" out just today, as it happens.
I wouldn't go as far as claiming it totally exonerates Corbyn, but it sure doesn't show Branson in a good light either.

Some of us would love a truth which showed both in a poor light. For all Corbyn's faults he's not as bad as Branson.

Not at all Thomas. Good call. I would vote for them if in Ulster. The only conservative party there.

I've long been a visitor to Vote UK Forum but thought I might occasionally contribute. I'm a (very - 1974) long-term Labour member with a large amount of past activity in a couple of different parts of the country. Not a Corbyn fan but I respect both his party mandate and his (to me surprising but there you go) appeal to a wider electorate.

If you ask BossMan he'll colour your name red, and get you into our sub-forum.
