Moving closer to my tongue-in-cheek suggestion that, as there is no language in the law regarding the size of the Isle of Wight constituencies, surely one constituency within the mainland deviation and one extra-tiny constituency is more in keeping with the malicious spirit of the law than balancing the electorates of the two undersized Wight constituencies. We'll get them there in the end.
Satirists would be proud of the stuff about giving Brighton Pavilion access to the sea. I am pleased though that there have been some sensible changes in this region, including those I suggested in Sussex and Kent. It's a shame that most of the other regions have spent the last few months just twiddling their thumbs.
There's also that orphan Surrey ward in the Windsor seat; admittedly this is not a place I'm familiar with, but it seems really inelegant. I think there were better proposals for Berkshire posted on here.
And then there's East Oxfordshire, which I think is one of the worst proposals in the whole country. There was no shortage of comments from the Bicester area pointing out the problems with it.
