With the Green Party having got at least two elected from the list in previous elections, if she were to be near the top then she might be stuck actually having to do the job of London Assembly member rather than lead the party in England and Wales. If she was in an unelectable position further down, it looks like tokenism in having a well-known name there.
She was fourth on the list in 2012 (having not been on the list at all before then), which was a good place for an ambitious candidate - just plausible that the Greens might win four seats.
Socialism makes war upon a system, not upon a class
Very poor for a sitting assembly member to be down as low as 5th. I must admit I never saw much of Stephen compared to Caroline, who I rate highly on transport issues. Why do Lib Dems on here think Stephen did so poorly? Is Emily Davey any relation to Ed? I dont know much about her. She got a lot of 1st pref votes, is she very popular in the London party or did the Davey name help her?
