How were Don Valley and Yarmouth disconnected? By Lincolnshire and Norfolk? Yarmouth will be that island in the River Yare at Thorpe St Andrew, south of the A1242. It is still now a detached part of a seat but of Norwich North. Norwich South has the Yare all the way down to Reedham. Rother Valley was the parish of Denaby which was a detached part of Doncaster Rural District. Mexborough and Conisborough Urban Districts (in Dearne Valley seat) separated it from the rest of Rother Valley.

IN Don Valley the parish of Denaby was included which was the other side of Conisbrough and Mexborough which were in Dearne Valley. Norwich North currently has a detached part due to some weird boundaries involving one of the Broadland wards and the River Yare. As that area was part of the YArmouth seat in 1974-83 I would guess this is what was involved there edit: damn you Psephos!

The only reference I can find to a 'Middlesboro' is one in Kentucky en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middlesboro,_Kentucky It is a '3rd Class city' apparently, which makes it a few classes better than Middlebrough, Yorkshire

The only post on page 36 I can see is from David. And I can't decide if it makes sense out of context or not.

Well that serves you right for blocking everyone like a petulant little boy. he hasn't blocked me. I can quote you on that. Hasn't he? Even so, by his own admission, to him this thread will still read like one of Christopher Mayhew's bad trips.
