ARBOUR, Tony (The Conservative Party Candidate) BOLTER, Jeffrey Warner (Fresh Choice for London) GOLDSMITH, Daniel Charles (Green Party) HOMAN, Lisa (Labour Party Candidate) WILSON, Munira (London Liberal Democrats)
NB 'Fresh Choice for London' is UK Independence Party.
Socialism makes war upon a system, not upon a class
There was no change in the Mayoral vote as to wards won
On the constituency vote Labour gained Bedfont, Feltham North, Feltham West, Hanworth, Hounslow South, Isleworth, Syon and Brentford from the Conservatives and Norbiton from the LDs. The Conservatives gained St Margarets & N Twickenham, Twickenham Riverside, Fulwell & Hampton North, Teddington and St Marks from the LDs
On the list vote Labour gained Bedfont, Feltham North, Feltham West, Hanworth Park, Hanworth, Hounslow South, Isleworth, Syon and Norbiton, all from the Conservatives
I recall at the time of the F&H byelection some polls showed the Mayoral candidates neck and neck in that seat while showing a big Labour lead for constituency and list votes. This was a constituency which I think Boris carried in 2008 so there has been a big swing there compared with virtually no swing London wide. Puts the byelection result in a bit of perspective
