You are seriously overestimating how important the Pakistani vote is in Wakefield.
I don't think I can be seriously overestimating it as my estimate is based on the census figures - I acknowledged that it is small, but it isn't non-existant. It is around 5% of the population which may make it a slightly lower proportion of the electorate but would be a much higher proportion of the Labour vote - perhaps nearer 10%. Another element of Labour's vote in Wakefield which would I think be greater than in Morley & Outwood would be the public sector middle class. Put very simply, Labour's three main core voting blocs comprise the White working class, ethnic minority voters of all classes, and public sector employees of all classes. The first of these is broadly susceptible to defecting to UKIP while the latter two are broadly not. I should think that the latter two form a far larger part of the Labour vote in Wakefield than they do in M&O simply because they form a greater part of the electorate overall. That is why I was querying Khunanup.
I wouldn't want to over analyse though as it is a bit of a side issue. AC and Andrea have already given the reason why WTB has got selected in Wakefield rather than M&O
